Is this program really free, can I get the source?
Yes, this program is completly Free of charge, you can however support application by donating coins, catalog books or money to the author.
While the program is free, the source isn't. I keep the source for myself. I am planning to open the source, once the program is feature complete, and after I beautified the source :)

What are you using for developing CCATALOG?

I'm using LAZARUS (FreePASCAL) to develop this program. I do the development under Ubutunu 8.10 (Linux OS)
This is my second LAZARUS project.

I've Downloaded your program, now what?
The program is compressed in a ZIP file. Just Click the file with the right button and choose 'UNCOMPRESS HERE'
You can start the program by doubleclik the CCatalog file.

If you are in LINUX and you do not have the following libraries:

GTK: libgdk-pixbuf, libglib1.2, libexpat
GTK2: libgtk2.0, libgdk2.0, libglib-2.0, libgdk_pixbuf-2.0, libexpat
QT4:
libqt4intf, libglib-2.0, libexpat

nothing will happen.

You need to install these libraries to run this program.
You can easily install these libraries using you LINUX Software Install Program like Synaptic, Adept, Yast, ...

If you can not find the libraries to install you can try to download them from this site in the download section.


At the first run, the configuration files will be written.

In Linux the Config file is at ~/.CCatalog
In Windows the Config file is in the same folder as the application file. (Will change in the future)

If you are using linux, it means you can put the apllication wherever you want, it will always use the same configuration file.
